Andrew Marcus

Chief Operating Officer

Andrew Marcus joined Relativity in 2005.
At Relativity, Marcus manages all company operations and staff, oversees business development, financial analysis, deal execution and financing for all transactions including the Beverly Blvd. film co-finance transactions with Sony and Universal, the acquisition of Rogue Pictures from Universal and all single picture transactions.  Prior to joining Relativity, Marcus worked at Ackman-Ziff performing valuation and underwriting analyses on real estate assets, optimizing transaction structures and sourcing equity and debt financing.  Marcus’s entertainment industry experience includes work with Magnetic Films where he consulted corporations and investors on entertainment transactions; GreeneStreet Films, where he managed feature film production, from development through distribution, including the Academy-Award nominated In The Bedroom.  While at GreeneStreet he structured a revolving credit facility for internal development and funding of film and television projects; and Miramax Films, where he served as an assistant to Harvey Weinstein.

Marcus began his career working in film production and finance with companies including Manifest Films, The Shooting Gallery, Gun for Hire and worked on several features, including Howard Stern’s Private Parts and What’s Your Sign?.

Marcus received his B.A. from Duke University and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
